Explore space and rediscover our amazing planet in our stunning Koch Immersive Theater where you can see traditional planetarium shows as well as be immersed in full-dome cinema utilizing Digistar® projection technology. Our 40-foot dome replaces the Koch Planetarium with an attraction that features stadium-style seating, a 10,000-watt digital surround sound system, and imagery resulting in an immersive experience more like flying than watching a movie.
Matinee shows are presented Tuesday – Sunday. Evening shows are presented each Thursday and the first Friday each month at 6:00 & 7:00 p.m. See a listing of current movies and movie trailers here.
Planetarium Theater Guidelines
- Please arrive with plenty of time to find a parking space, purchase your tickets and select your seat. Due to the dark environment in our theater, there is no late admission. Those exiting during a show should not expect to be readmitted.
- Cell phones and other light emitting devices interfere with the enjoyment of our shows by others. Those with light-up shoes may be asked to remove them before being seated.
- Children attending programs in the Theater without a ticket should sit on the lap of an adult.
- There are no refunds or exchanges after a ticket is purchased.
Seating for those with special needs, wheelchairs, assisted listening devices and open captioning (when available) will be available in advance, the day of your show. Please see a Museum staff member for assistance.
