Uncovering the Layers of History

The history of Indiana is recorded in its geologic layers. Each layer tells the story of the environmental and ecological changes that occurred as the layer formed. In this exhibition you can explore the layers for yourself. Explore fossils, handle rocks and crystals, and step back into the age of dinosaurs in our newest hands-on exhibition. While you’re there, check out our display of Mammoth bones in the Hands-on Science Center.

This exhibition is made possible thanks to generous support from:

- CenterPoint Energy
- American Water Charitable Foundation
- Raymond B. Preston Charitable Foundation
