William H. McCurdy and his Success in Evansville

William H. McCurdy was already a successful man when he came to town in 1902 and opened the Hercules Buggy Company.  In Evansville, he multiplied his success many times, founded several companies producing a variety of products--including gas engines and truck bodies, and quickly became the largest employer in the city.  This talk will cover his story and his many endeavors.

Keith Kinney is a lifelong collector of antiques with a passion for things made in or around Evansville and is versed on Hercules Gas Engines and the Hercules Company.
