The Club - June 2024

  • Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science 411 Southeast Riverside Drive Evansville, IN, 47713 United States (map)

Join us for an afternoon of fellowship and fun at The Club! This FREE event, sponsored by Solarbron and American Senior Communities, is open to all adults and takes place from 11 am to 1 pm on the first Friday of every month at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science.

The June Club, meeting on Friday June 7, features a special presentation by Susan Colaricci Sauls, the Director of the University Art Collections at the University of Southern Indiana. She will be speaking about the Museum’s latest art exhibition featuring Stephen Pace. The presentation will begin at 11:15 am.

About the Presentation - From his earliest drawing lessons with Evansville artist Robert Lahr to visiting Picasso’s studio in post-War Paris and from his Abstract Expressionist paintings in New York City in the 1950s to paintings completed in New Harmony before his death, Stephen Pace’s artwork reflects the events and people that shared in his life. Using the artist’s own artwork and personal stories, Susan Sauls will recount the life of American Stephen Pace.

Join us in the Art Corner for Adults anytime from 11 am to 1 pm. This month’s activity to be announced.

The Writing Group will NOT be meeting in the month of June. Anyone interested in becoming a writer, writing their own story, or learning from others about the writing process is encouraged to reach out to Lynda at lsheines@gmail.com to stay in the loop.
