Cultural Communications & HOLA
The organizations on display in the Begley Art Gallery serve the purpose of helping new residents to transition to Evansville and become a part of the community and become a part of the community. Cultural Communications, founded by Summer El-Khodary in 2013, gives a platform through podcasts and panel discussions to unique and engaging voices not typically heard in Evansville. As the Evansville Latino community continued to grow during the late 1990’s and early 2000s, a group of citizens formed HOLA to help bridge Latinos and essential services around the Tri-state area.
