Whooping Cranes

During Museum events such as Free Fridays and Super Saturdays, special guests and local organizations will often stop by and share their stories, artifacts and technology with the community. I personally love all the ways that these guests help the Museum broaden the exploration of art, history and science and show how everything is interconnected.

Over the past several years, the International Crane Foundation has been such a wonderful guest, and their presentations on Whooping Cranes have been a crowd favorite. However, like nearly everything in 2020, their annual visit was cancelled due to the pandemic. So, I was delighted when Sophie Wolbert, Whooping Crane Outreach Program Assistant for Indiana, reached out and offered to create a special educational video for the Evansville Museum. You can view it HERE. I hope you enjoy!

Here’s to hoping that the Evansville Museum can resume all of its in-person events, full of special guests, soon!
