On Thursday, October 20 at 6 pm, the Evansville Museum’s chief curator and curator of history Tom Lonnberg, will present the slide illustrated talk Hail to the Chiefs and Wannabe Chiefs. In this lively talk, Lonnberg will explore visits to Evansville by those who have served as president of the United States and candidates seeking higher office. This rich history dates to the 19th century and includes names such as Fillmore, McKinley, Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Nixon, Obama and many more.

Tom Lonnberg came to the Evansville Museum in 1988. He has curated numerous exhibitions with a major emphasis on interpreting Evansville’s past.  These exhibitions have covered many aspects of the city’s history including industry, culture, and the community’s home front efforts during World War II.
