Experience the Moon with the Evansville Astronomical Society

In July 1969, 600 million people across all continents followed the first step of a man on the Moon, gathering together with their family and friends around their televisions. Fifty years later, we want you to feel this enthusiasm for the Moon.

Everyone is invited to join the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landings by discovering the Moon through an astronomical telescope. See the lunar maria, craters, rilles (channels) and Apollo landing locations close-up.

The Evansville Museum and Evansville Astronomical Society will host telescope viewings telescopes on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 from 8:00-10:00 PM. Join us to observe the Moon and share the wonder.
