Barbara Rodenberg is a mixed media artist and writer whose collages are made of scraps of metal, old machine parts, road maps, old books and handmade paper. Although she taught her students how to make paper during her almost 20 years of teaching, it wasn’t until she retired in 2009 that Barbara began to concentrate on making handmade papers and incorporating them into her collages. Her work was accepted in the Ohio Valley Art League’s bi-annual Recycle Art Show in 2009. She and her husband, ceramic artist David Rodenberg, have exhibited their work together in exhibitions at the Ohio Valley Art League, the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, and the Melvin Peterson Gallery at the University of Evansville.
