MUSEUM ANGELS GIVE THE GIFT THAT IS CHANGING LIVES
A recent phone call to the Membership Office from an Angel Society recipient was a most welcome surprise. As a single mother attending school full-time with three young children, she called to thank the Museum for the Angel Society Membership she had received in 2008. She stated that it was the greatest thing that had happened to her family, as it gave her a fun, educational, and safe place to bring her children. It has kept her kids out of trouble and given them an appreciation for art and drawing. Her young daughter had just won a local drawing contest, and she said she couldn’t be more proud of her. We see this transformation taking place over and over among our Angel Society recipients. We truly thank our Angels for their support!
The Museum’s Angel Society program, now in its second year, continues to be a success. To date for 2009, 83 Angels have sponsored one-year Museum Memberships for 179 families, touching the lives of over 600 children who would otherwise not have access to the great programs that the Museum offers.
