Koch Immersive Theater

Explore space and rediscover our amazing planet in our stunning Koch Immersive Theater where you can see traditional planetarium shows as well as be immersed in full-dome cinema utilizing Digistar® projection technology. Our 40-foot dome replaces the Koch Planetarium with an attraction that features stadium-style seating, a 10,000-watt digital surround sound system, and imagery resulting in an immersive experience more like flying than watching a movie.

Matinee shows are presented Tuesday – Sunday. Evening shows are presented each Thursday and the first Friday each month at 6:00 & 7:00 p.m. See a listing of current movies and movie trailers here.

Planetarium Theater Guidelines

  • Please arrive with plenty of time to find a parking space, purchase your tickets and select your seat. Due to the dark environment in our theater, there is no late admission. Those exiting during a show should not expect to be readmitted.
  • Cell phones and other light emitting devices interfere with the enjoyment of our shows by others. Those with light-up shoes may be asked to remove them before being seated.
  • Children attending programs in the Theater without a ticket should sit on the lap of an adult.
  • There are no refunds or exchanges after a ticket is purchased.

Special Needs

Seating for those with special needs, wheelchairs, assisted listening devices and open captioning (when available) will be available in advance, the day of your show. Please see a Museum staff member for assistance.
