The Evansville Museum is a spectacular choice for your event.  Imagine the possibilities for your party, meeting, or conference in the elegant spaces of the Evansville Museum.  Conveniently located in downtown Evansville, this unique setting offers guests free, well-lit parking.

With a beautiful new Pavilion sporting two and a half stories of glass, views of the Ohio River, the City’s historic area, and the Museum’s Transportation Center that houses its historic steam engine, club car and caboose, this space has quickly become a highly attractive venue for special events.  The surrounding exhibition galleries create an artistic backdrop for events, while exclusive gallery access during events builds memorable experiences for guests.

The Evansville Museum offers a variety of rental options for private or corporate functions and can accommodate groups of all sizes.  Join us for holiday parties, corporate meetings, customer appreciation days, intimate parties or black-tie dinners. The Evansville Museum has provided the community with 100 years of exhibitions, entertainment, and education, and all of the proceeds from rentals directly support the Museum's mission. Birthday & Gaming Parties

 

Want to give your child a unique, fun, AND educational birthday party?

Want a truly unique experience?  Gather your friends to play your game of choice on the dome of the new Koch Immersive Theater.

The gaming takes place on a 19-foot area of the dome, and is accompanied by our theater quality 10,000 watt sound system.  It's a pretty amazing experience!

You supply the console (PlayStation, Xbox, wii, computer, etc.), controls, HDMI cable, game and gamers.  We supply the awesome experience! 

Gaming costs $20 per person per hour if you can squeeze in during Museum hours (Meaning from 8:30 am – 5 pm when the Science Staff is available.) when the Theater is NOT already in use.  Refer to our regularly scheduled shows here.  If the time you want is available, then check with us to see if we already have a rental or special group showing booked.

If you want to do an evening, which is any time after 5 pm that the Theater is NOT already in use, it's $100 plus the $20 per person per hour.  You can play as long as you want.

Eykamp Pavilion and Mezzanine

 

The Museum’s newest spaces offer a beautiful and unique setting for a variety of events.  The 2,420 square foot Eykamp Pavilion has 1,020 square feet of usable rental space, and the second floor Mezzanine, which overlooks the Pavilion and has a wonderful view of the Ohio River, is 1,100 square feet.

Please note that the Eykamp Pavilion and Mezzanine are public spaces, and may only be rented after Museum hours.

Koch Immersive Theater

 

The Koch Immersive Theater is available for private shows, business meetings/presentations, and gaming parties.  The Theater seats 66 people, and can meet a wide range of audio-visual needs.  A qualified science associate will be present throughout each rental.

Old Gallery

 

The spacious 4,000 square foot Old Gallery accommodates up to 200 seated at tables or 250 with lecture style seating. The Old Gallery is the setting for changing art and history exhibitions and is available for daytime or evening events.  Use of the Richardt Room is included with rental of this space, and allows for easy kitchen access.  A screen is available in this gallery for presentations.

Richardt Room

 

Adjacent to the Old Gallery is the Richardt Room, a 774 square foot space ideal for meetings and parties for 40 seated at tables or 60 seated lecture style.  A screen is available in this gallery for presentations.

Kuehn Terrace

 

Steps from the Old Gallery is the 4,200 square foot outdoor Kuehn Terrace overlooking the city’s historic district.  Facing East, this space is shaded in the evenings, making it an ideal venue for after work or evening events.

Crescent Gallery

 

A more intimate 2,500 square foot gallery setting accommodates 60 seated at tables or 80 lecture style seating. The Museum’s nationally recognized contemporary American still life painting collection and landscapes from the 16th-20th centuries are exhibited in the Crescent Gallery.

Please note that this gallery is only available after Museum hours.

Sculpture Garden

 

Just outside the Crescent Gallery is the outdoor Sculpture Garden, which provides an engaging view of the Ohio River.  The Garden is the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding, cocktail party, or concert.  This space can accommodate events for up to 500 guests.

Entire Museum

 

Create everlasting memories throughout this extraordinary setting. Guests can stroll through vivid exhibits in Rivertown and experience Evansville’s turn-of-the-century first-hand. Rental of the entire museum includes use of the Old Gallery, Richardt Room, Crescent Gallery, and all permanent galleries. The Evansville Museum Transportation Center is available for an additional security fee.

Evansville Museum Transportation Center (EMTRAC)

 

In a separate building on the Museum’s campus, EMTRAC features exhibits on modes of transportation – from air, and by land, water and rail. Model trains delight guests inside the building and an actual engine, club car and caboose outside overlook the Ohio River. EMTRAC can accommodate up to 50 seated at tables (inside) and an additional 32 seated at tables (outside on the covered train platform.)  The train’s dining / club car can seat 24 at tables and 10 in the lounge.
