CLASSES FOR CHILDREN
DISCOVERY DAYS
Come to the Museum to learn something cool! Kids ages 6-12 can learn about something new, plus create a craft or work of art from the experience. All Discovery Days activities last one and a half to two hours. Please note activity times listed below. Advance registration is required. Each session is $5.00 per child. Parents are welcome to participate!
Your Spitting Image
Saturday, November 6, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Come and explore the exhibit, YOUR SPITTING IMAGE and find out how much saliva the average person creates each day! Children will also get to participate in some cool science activities.
Thanksgiving with the Pioneers
Wednesday, November 17, 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Compare the legends and traditions of Native Americans living near the Evansville region with those of early pioneers who settled here during the Autumn season. Children will get to share their Thanksgiving traditions and create a memory of their own to take home.
Season of Light
Wednesday, December 22, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
During this Koch Planetarium seasonal show, learn about holiday traditions, both secular and religious. Create a special ornament to share with loved ones!
TODDLER TUESDAYS
Bring your toddler to the Museum the first Tuesday of each month and enjoy a story and activity related to items in our collection. Each visit will include a story and game or special activity. Toddlers ages 2-3 are welcome to participate in this admission-free event along with an adult. All Toddler Tuesdays will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Join us on the following Tuesdays:

JEWELRY MAKING CLASS
Why buy jewelry when you can make unique, handmade pieces yourself? Using basic hand tools, ANDREA WANNEMUEHLER will help students explore linkage systems for making earrings, bracelets, necklaces, including clasps and ear-wires, as well as learn different types, colors and finishes of beads, cabochons, and other jewelry findings. This class is an ideal opportunity to explore a range of techniques, while creating several projects! No experience necessary.

Ages: 6 (with adult) and up
Fee: $50 Members/ $55 Non-Members

| To register for a class, call the Evansville Museum at (812) 425-2406. Make checks payable to The Evansville Museum. Payment must be received on or before the registration deadline. Registration is guaranteed when payment is received. If a class is canceled by the Museum, registration fees will be refunded. In the event a student must cancel the registration, he/she must do so before the registration deadline in order to receive a refund. |
